Your role as a heavy truck engine mechanic
Perform accurate engine diagnostics (electronic and electrical – engine and chassis)
Carry out maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty vehicles
Work on key components: diesel engine, transmission, differential
Follow dealership procedures and standards (quality, safety, rigor)
Document diagnostics and repairs clearly (reports, job notes, file tracking)
Work closely with the Parts department and Service Advisors to plan and complete repairs
Perform road tests when required
Take part in ongoing dealer training
Complete any other related tasks assigned by your supervisor

Profile – Heavy Truck Mechanic
- DEP in Heavy Truck Mechanics
- 5 years of experience in diesel/heavy truck mechanics
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic system
- Excellent engine diagnostic skills, including electronic and electrical (engine and chassis)
- Comfortable with computers (work orders, documentation, diagnostic software/tools)
- Valid driver’s license + your own toolbox
- A strong mindset for safety, rigor, and teamwork
Assets (not required)
Experience with PACCAR / Cummins
PEP certification
Halocarbon certification
